About Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole Trail Map

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, located a mere 19 km (12 miles) from Jackson, Wyoming, is a Mecca of outdoor recreation.  With an average temperature of -6 C (21 F) and an annual snowfall of 1166 cm (459 inches), this winter playground promises an exhilarating experience to the more than 16,000 skiers hauled up the hill each hour.  Maximizing the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort experience, an open gate system provides access to an additional 3,000 acres of deep powdery backcountry.  Completely boarder-friendly, Jackson Hole welcomes riders with open arms, while also enticing them with two terrain parks and a superpipe with rope tow.

Perfect for all ages and abilities, the Mountain Sports School offers both ski and snowboarding lessons in individual and class instruction.  Video evaluations and race clinics provide that extra edge guests may be looking for, allowing them to hone their skill and shave seconds off of their time.  For a unique experience, Tommy Moe offers intermediate and expert skiers private lessons and the opportunity to view the mountains from the perspective of an Olympic Gold Medalist.

Excitement continues long after the lifts close with Jackson Hole’s après ski entertainment.  Recognized by Food and Wine Magazine, the warm and cozy Couloir lends itself to the ultimate dining experience.  The evening begins with a gondola ride, complete with warmed blankets to cuddle up in and ends with a culinary adventure of both savory and sweet temptations.  Returning for the 2009/10 season, The Solitude Cabin Dinner Sleigh Ride presents guests with an idyllic setting from start to finish.  The historic cabin, bursting with rich aromas, proudly offers tantalizing options certain to please the most discerning of palates.
