Jackson HoleJackson Hole Mountain Resort, located a mere 19 km (12 miles) from Jackson, Wyoming, is a Mecca of outdoor recreation.  With an average temperature of -6 C (21 F) and an annual snowfall of 1166 cm (459 inches), this winter playground promises an exhilarating experience to the more than 16,000 skiers hauled up the hill each hour.  Maximizing the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort experience, an open gate system provides access to an additional 3,000 acres of deep powdery backcountry.  Completely boarder-friendly, Jackson Hole welcomes riders with open arms, while also enticing them with two terrain parks and a superpipe with rope tow. 

Perfect for all ages and abilities, the Mountain Sports School offers both ski and snowboarding lessons in individual and class instruction.  Video evaluations and race clinics provide that extra edge guests may be looking for, allowing them to hone their skill and shave seconds off of their time.  For a unique experience, Tommy Moe offers intermediate and expert skiers private lessons and the opportunity to view the mountains from the perspective of an Olympic Gold Medalist. 

Excitement continues long after the lifts close with Jackson Hole’s après ski entertainment.  Recognized by Food and Wine Magazine, the warm and cozy Couloir lends itself to the ultimate dining experience.  The evening begins with a gondola ride, complete with warmed blankets to cuddle up in and ends with a culinary adventure of both savory and sweet temptations.  Returning for the 2009/10 season, The Solitude Cabin Dinner Sleigh Ride presents guests with an idyllic setting from start to finish.  The historic cabin, bursting with rich aromas, proudly offers tantalizing options certain to please the most discerning of palates.

In addition to the wonderful display of downhill skiing, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is pleased to offer visitors of all ages and skill levels a lengthy list of activities certain to keep them entertained throughout their entire stay.

Cross Country Skiing Cross Country Skiing
20 km (12.4 miles) of immaculately groomed trails stretch across a snow covered ranch, offering easy Nordic skiing, perfect for all skill levels.  For a more challenging experience, optional hill trails are also available.
 

Dog Sledding Dog Sledding
With several options offered including day trips as well as multiple night tours, this exciting guided excursion provides an interesting means to exploring the Continental Divide. 
 

Heli-Skiing Heli-Skiing
Available in five mountain ranges surrounding Jackson Hole, Heli-Skiing provides thrill seekers with an adventure unlike any other.  Untracked deep powder is guaranteed!
 

Hiking Hiking
Education and exercise come together on this exploration of Grand Teton National Park.  Guided by a local naturalist, guests of all abilities are treated to the teachings of winter ecology and wildlife tracks.
 

Kid’s Ranch Kid’s Ranch
Offering children aged six months to 17 an array of age-appropriate activities to keep them entertained, the Kid’s Ranch is located in the Cody House.  Wild West Woods and Fort Wyoming also provide educational programs for young skiers and snowboarders.
 

Sleigh Rides Sleigh Rides
An intimate means to observing the winter landscape and wildlife, this tour is a great option for groups looking to explore both the National Elk Reserve and Teton Village.
 

Snowmobiling Snowmobiling
From guided tours of Yellowstone National Park to Granite Stone Hot Springs, visitor’s options for snowmobiling excursions seem almost limitless.
 

Snowshoeing Snowshoeing
Guests of all ages and skill levels take to the powdery Saddlehorn Snowshoe Trail on this Jackson Hole tour.  Guided by a naturalist, guests are treated to the teachings of winter ecology, wilderness tracks and natural history.
 

Terrain Parks Terrain Parks
Featuring two parks, one for beginners and the other for intermediate to advanced levels, Jackson Hole takes freestyling seriously.  The superpipe, located on Apres Vous, offers 450 feet of daring adventure.
 

Yurt Yurt
Guests board the East Ridge Chairlift or trek in from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to the intimate location of this rustic yurt.  Set amongst a lodge pine forest and located at the base of Rock Springs Canyon, this unique experience provides a comfortable place to settle in with good friends.  With dining and accommodation options available, this excursion promises to fulfill every outdoor enthusiast’s need.
